After her acquisition, in 1993, in like perfect condition I felt in love with her. Not so after the voyage from Newport CA to Florida, she was a wreck ! All shine was gone. It followed a three year renouat, on in nova Scotia. The yard underestimated the power of the shrouds. The movement in the bont disturbed ribs. The deck and beams. Now she is undertaking a second refit. She will be ready in spring 2007 for a further long life.
Built 1938 for Mr Theodore W.LITTKE. After my research she had 5 owners. During world war II in the marine as submarine control vessel. In the 60's in the national academy as Scholl ship. There she crossed the Atlantic twice with her female captain. Her last crossing under my ownership was 2002 from Newport to Hamburg.
